Founded in 1972, the Arbor Day Foundation is the largest nonprofit membership organization dedicated to planting trees. Inspiring people
to plant, nurture and celebrate trees, the Arbor Day Foundation plants and distributes more than 10 million trees each year. They strive to make the world a greener and healthier place, as evidenced by their many conservation and education programs including Tree City USA, Tree Campus USA, Community Tree Recovery, Arbor Day Farm, Rain Forest Rescue and Replanting Our Forests.
Arbor Day members receive some or all of the following free welcome gifts: The Tree Book (full color tree planting/care guide), Rain Forest Rescue Calendar, Arbor Day bimonthly newsletter, personalized address labels, Give-A-Tree cards, trees planted in honor of loved ones as well as discounts on more than 100 varieties of trees. New members may also receive 10 free trees, which they may keep, or donate back to the organization.
Arbor Day donors'/members' passion for making the world a better place extends beyond the environment. They are also consistent supporters of children's, health/disease, humanitarian and cultural fundraising appeals. They can also be counted upon to respond to a wide variety of commercial offers. From bulbs, horticulture and gardening supplies to housewares, gift and general merchandise catalogs--commercial mailers will see response rates blossom when renting the Arbor Day Foundation files.
